NEW YORK, October 23, 2018 – Zillow Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: Z; Nasdaq: ZG), which houses a portfolio of the largest and most vibrant real estate and home-related brands on mobile and web, today announced it has leased five floors in Global Holding Management Group’s NoMad Tower, located at 1250 Broadway in New York. The company will move in early 2020.
Zillow Group will occupy 130,000 square feet of space on floors 8 through 12 in NoMad Tower, giving the real estate company more than 2.5 times the square feet of its current office space located at 130 Fifth Avenue in New York’s Flatiron District. Mirroring the current office, the new space will serve as headquarters for Zillow Group’s NYC brands, StreetEasy®, Out East® and Naked Apartments®, house regional teams from Zillow Group’s Premier Agent, New Construction and Rentals divisions. The expanded footprint will have space to add 1000 employees across the five floors to its more than 270 current employees.
“Our New York employees commute from all different parts of the city, New Jersey, and upstate. It was incredibly important for us to find a building that married both a central location with the flexibility to create a truly unique, tech-forward space for our growing NYC office,” said Matt Gibson, Zillow Group’s VP of Facilities & Corporate Real Estate. “We’re excited to partner with NoMad Tower to build a new space for our employees that fosters our collaborative culture."
“NoMad Tower is the most significant high-rise, glass and steel office tower in NoMad, one of New York City's fastest growing and most vibrant neighborhoods,” Paul Glickman, vice chairman of JLL, which represented NoMad Tower said. “Repositioned with a soon-to-be opened new lobby that has been relocated to 31st Street, NoMad Tower offers tenants a truly unique amenity experience, including a two-story amphitheater seating nearly 100 people, and a multi-faceted amenity center complete with a bike room, fitness room, game room and lounge. We are excited to have Zillow Group in the building as our first major lease.”
Zillow Group acquired StreetEasy in August 2013, Naked Apartments in February 2016, and launched Out East in February 2018 following the acquisition of Hamptons Real Estate Online (HREO.com), in January 2017.
